The toy-maker has finally turned its hand to the most famous cartoon family on the planet, and as well as the home and car, figures of the family - Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa and Maggie - as well as do-gooder neighbour Ned Flanders are also available.

Lego lovers will be able to build their very own 742 Evergreen Terrace out of the connecting bricks, and the home even opens out so that you can place Homer in his favourite place - the sofa in front of the TV.

The set, due to launch in February, is not the end of it either - Lego has also commissioned a further 16 mini figures to add to the collection of iconic characters and are also releasing a special one-off Lego episode of The Simpsons in May featuring Springfield and its cast of characters in Lego form.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with Fox during the 25th anniversary year of the Simpsons, we know our fans will love the challenge of building the Simpsons' family home in great detail and the ability to collect quintessential characters in Lego minifigure form will let them showcase their love of the show in a whole new way.

"We are also excited that The Simpsons will be created in Lego form, truly bringing this partnership to life."
