The Big Bang Theory - Sheldon Kisses Amy

Its been nearly four years since they got together on the Big Bang Theory.

And now Amy Farrah Fowler has FINALLY shared her first kiss with boyfriend Sheldon Cooper.

The kiss was sparked when the couple, whose neurotic relationship is a staple of the show, got into a spat over their lack of romance.

As they joined married couple Howard and Bernadette on a romantic Valentine's Day train getaway on Thursday night's episode, Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons, and Amy, played by Mayim Bialik, got into a spat over their lack of romance on the trip.

Sheldon, bothered by Amy's insinuations, began to prove to her that he is romantic.

'If you want romance, then let's have romance,' Sheldon said.

Sheldon, as fans will know, is a stubborn, neurotic and socially inept theoretical physicist who is certain that he has no need for physical intimacy and who is against any type of physical contact.

But spuured into action, on Thursday's episode he then grabbed a glass of wine and took a sip.

'Grape juice that burns!' he said. 'Now let's gaze into each other's eyes,' he continued in a huff.

'Let's see what's next? Kissing is romantic.'

Before he knew it, he leaned in and kissed Amy.

And he didn't stop, in fact, he kept going and even grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to him.

'That was nice,' Amy said.

'Good,' Sheldon replied.

Then they both headed off to the engine room so that the conductor could show Sheldon how to bring the train through a crossing.

Big Bang fans will no doubt be glued to their television screens to see what happens next between Shamy as the series continues on CBS Thursday nights.
