Oscars 2014 Nominees: Full List Of 86th Academy Awards Nominations And Predictions

The Oscars 2014 will take place on March 2 and air live from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on ABC beginning at 7 p.m. EST. "Gravity" and "American Hustle" have the most nominations, at 10, but "12 Years A Slave" is right behind the two films with nine nominations.

There are plenty of interesting Oscars 2014 with many experts agreeing on who will win for "Best Picture," "Best Director" and "Best Actor." The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Washington Post and Variety all have "12 Years a Slave" is a lock to go home with the Oscar but some believe "Gravity" could have a shot at taking home the Academy Award. For "Best Actor," Matthew McConaughey has been the frontrunner but Leonardo DiCaprio has seen an increase in popularity over the last few weeks.

When the Oscars 2014 nominations were first announced many felt Tom Hanks and Robert Redford were snubbed for "Best Actor." For many, "Inside Llewyn Davis" may have been the biggest Oscar snub as it only was nominated for two categories, Sound Mixing and Cinematography, and the Cohen brothers did not get nominated for Best Director, notes the Los Angeles Times.

The experts believe "Best Actress" and "Best Director" are a lock to go to Cate Blanchett and Alfonso Cuaron, respectively. While nothing is guaranteed at Oscars 2014, if Blanchett does win it will be interesting to see how she handles the Woody Allen controversy. The predictions are also in agreement on the Supporting Oscars with Jared Leto ("Dallas Buyers Club") and Lupita Nyong'o ("12 Years a Slave") expected to take home Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.

Of course, there are other things to look forward to during the Oscars 2014. There will be drinking games, themed parties and perhaps another Jennifer Lawrence moment that everyone will adore.
